Listing an Event on The Customer Success Calendar

The Customer Success Association offers 4 methods for publicizing Customer Success events.  And it’s free!*

*In exchange for the free publicity, the CSA is to receive a ticket and a reciprocal link on all publicity for the event.  If attendees are being charged for the event, the requirements may be different.

1 – The Customer Success Calendar posts in The Customer Success Forum on LinkedIn

Every month, we post a Customer Success Calendar discussion in The Customer Success Forum, and recommend it to all members so that they receive an Alert from LinkedIn.   There is limited space in the post, so the entries have to be very terse.  For example:
Title of event
Date of event
short URL — bitlink or some sort of condensed URL — to the Registration site

2 – Comments attached to the Customer Success Calendar post

With prior agreement, you can add an event as a **comment** to the monthly post.  Comments can be longer [1,200 characters] and can include graphics and links to the external registration site.

3 –  The Customer Success Calendar monthly email blast

We send an email out to the entire membership of the Customer Success Association.  Entries for this email also have to be terse.

4 -The Customer Success Calendar page of the Customer Success Association website

Entries on the Customer Success Calendar page appear first as short titles and descriptions on the Calendar  page itself.  Each entry on the monthly layout is also a link to a full page for the specific event.  There is room for more detailed descriptions of the events and graphics on the event pages.   Generally, we recommend a banner graphic at the top (1000px by 200-300 px), followed by the title, date and the URL for the registration site.  The description is next, from 300 to 700 words.  Smaller graphics, such as speaker headshots (350px), may be inserted into the description or listed separately below it.

Procedure for Listing an Event

In exchange for the publicity, there needs to be a link to the Customer Success Association website main page in all of your own event publicity and on the registration page.  This link may use the CSA logo if desired, or some sort of text acknowledgment with a link.  For example:

If your event has sponsors, you may list the CSA as a Media Partner for the reciprocal link.

We’ll also expect a complimentary ticket.

Here’s what we’ll need for each event to be listed:

1) Short form (For inclusion in the email and the Forum post):

  • Title of event
  • Date of event
  • short URL — bitlink or some sort of condensed URL — to the Registration site

2) Long form — for the Customer Success Calendar page of the CSA site:

  • Title of event
  • Date of event
  • short URL — bitlink or some sort of condensed URL — to the Registration site
  • The description of the event (300-700 words)
  • Banner graphic, in jpg format – 1000 pixels by 200-300 pixels
  • Smaller graphics, if desired.  jpg format, 350 pixels tall/wide.
  • A short SEO description of the event

Please send the information in the body of the text you’ll supply on the “Add” page — via the link below.  The submitted content will be reviewed, and the links will be checked to see that they are correct and that the required link to the Customer Success Association site has been added to your pages.  After the review process is complete, we’ll publish your submitted event and add it to the mailings and Forum post.
